i just took these pictures of my friend ruby, and i couldn't help but post them. there will be more pictures from today on flickr soon, and i am currently working on two series that i am excited to show everyone.

i'll be taking pictures of my other art and posting them soon because i don't have a scanner.

black water

i've been more busy than i could've ever imagined. i've been going to a lot of shows (edward sharpe & the magnetic zeros, lemonade, small black, MNDR, and last night, phoenix!) and i've been exploring this crazy city and all of its kitschy intricacies with wonder and amazement. every day i have a moment of pure cathartic love for this wonderland.

here are a couple of 35mm shots from the other day, the rest of the set is on my flickr, as usual. also, i don't post photos from every set up here, so keep checking it out for new ones!

lots of new pictures

ok, i feel bad for not updating, but i have been incredibly busy preparing to move 3000 miles across the country. i have 4 new sets: the second batch from edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros at the hammer, a photoshoot i did at art center, and two batches from each day of sunset junction. i took a picture from each so you can preview, and you should go check them all out on my flickr!

eskimos and zeros (pt 1)

i went to the hammer museum on thursday and saw eskimohunter for the first time, and edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros (for the third time! :) ) where i proceeded to take pictures in between dancing my ass off and enjoying every minute of the show. i only got one roll developed tonight, and the other will come tomorrow, so i will add those pictures to the same set and either edit this post or create another one.

here are some shots from it, the rest on my flickr. (sorry, i know it's getting repetitive, but i'm just trying to be thorough.)

my friends in nacosta let me come to their practice yesterday and i took some nice shots of them. the place was really tiny, but it doesn't look like it in these.

nyc in the summer heat

so i went to new york city for a few days, and while i was there i took tons of pictures. it felt really good to just shoot and walk around the city i will soon be a resident of.

ok, so i have been a bad blogger and have not updated as frequently as i promised myself i would. i apologize for the error of my ways and i promise to try not to do it again! here are some pictures that i took at the bandit gallery in echo park on the 4th of july, again of my friend's band nacosta.

hellooo. i've been working on that poster and taking more pictures, as well as sketching and sketching away. here's some photos from a show i went to the other night. my friend's band nacosta played at a kickboxing gym in old town pasadena, and after waiting for two hours for the first jerks to play, we finally got to listen to their sweet melodies.

okay, so in the spirit of trying to get my shit together, i have been asking friends in bands if they need any gig flyers, and it turns out my friends in underground transition are having a gig at the roxy on the 27th, and they kindly obliged to let me scribble something up for them.

it's not done yet, i will be finishing it tomorrow, but i had to make a (shitty) scan for my friend so he could see my progress!

this is also my first time doing something like this, so try not to hate it too much, haha.

okay, yes, another post so soon. i got a new sketchbook yesterday; it's a handbook trav-e-logue and it is in landscape format, which is new and exciting for me. i will be scanning much more work from it in the upcoming days and months, but here's a starter:
